Part-Time Non-Benefited Museum Curator
HYRUM Museum has an opening for a part-time Museum Curator. Work days and hours vary between Tuesday, Thursday, 12:00 to 6:00; and Wednesday, and Saturday 10:00 to 3:00 (two Saturdays per month) approximately 12 hours a week. This position manages and cares for the museum’s collections, attends to visitor needs, maintains the museum’s online presence, and assists with exhibit development, educational programming, and other special projects.
Applicants must possess excellent organizational, research, writing, multi-tasking, and hospitality skills. Attention to detail, punctuality, and computer skills are also critical. Basic reception skills including answering the phone and greeting and assisting visitors are essential.

Full Time Benefited Apprentice Lineman
HYRUM CITY is currently accepting applications for a full time Apprentice Lineman. First or second step apprentice preferred, but other qualified individuals may be considered. Under general supervision, will assist Journeyman Line Worker in the construction, repair, and maintenance of overhead and underground power transmission and distribution lines. Operates line trucks, line working apparatus and heavy equipment. Refuses distribution lines, sets poles, installs cross arms, strings and ties in new lines and makes up jumpers and assists Line Workers in energizing lines. Prepares material and equipment for fieldwork. Installs and connects transformers, both three-phase and single phase. Digs trenches and lays conduit systems for underground lines.
Requires ability to perform moderately heavy physical manual labor frequently lifting up to 75 pounds in connection with equipment. Must be able to twist, kneel, and bend for associated tasks performed in the field (includes digging holes). Accuracy, alertness and concentration at all times are also vital to this position.
Must be a graduate of a senior high school or equivalent. Successful completion of one or more years from an approved Line Worker Training Program such as UVSC. Employee must pass fourth year Journeyman test as a condition of continued employment. Valid Class A CDL with an acceptable driving record. Strong math skills to perform electrical calculations. Ability to work at various heights and in adverse weather. Must be able to work the “on call” rotation schedule. Upon employment employee must reside within 10 miles of the Hyrum City Office building.
Starting wage is $16.50 per hour, wage maybe higher depending on level of apprenticeship.
