All Together Now

All together now

Summer Reading is here!! We are so excited about all the programs this summer! Check out the calendar for all of the events that we are planning on this summer (Please note!!! Activities and locations can change without notice)

Here is a reminder on how each age group can participate:

Children’s Program: Children aged 0-11 will be given reading logs to keep track of the minutes read, or are read to. For every 15 minutes read mark off one box. When a reading log is full, bring it to the library to exchange it for the next reading log, a grand prize raffle ticket, and a prize. The reading logs are also entered into a weekly drawing. Once the eighth reading log is completed, a child will graduate to bonus logs. The bonus logs will track 30 minutes instead of 15. There will be a limit of 5 bonus logs per child. Keep careful track of the bonus logs, these are not replaceable!

Teen’s Program: Teens aged 12-17 will be given reading logs to keep track of minutes read. For every 15 minutes read mark off one box. When a reading log is full, bring it to the library to exchange it for the next reading log, a grand prize raffle ticket, and a prize. The reading logs are also entered into a weekly drawing. Once the eighth reading log is completed, a teen will graduate to bonus logs. The bonus logs will track 30 minutes instead of 15. There will be a limit of 5 bonus logs per teen.
Keep careful track of the bonus logs, these are not replaceable!

Adult’s Program: Adults 18+  will fill out an entry slip at the front desk for any book, audio book, or any books read with children. This entry slip will be at the front desk and requires the title of the book, the adult’s name, and a phone number.  There will be weekly drawings for these entries. At the end of the summer, these entries will also be entered in for the grand prizes.

Prize Benchmarks: We are excited to reward minutes & books read this summer! This year, we are
offering benchmark prizes for  each completed reading log. For the first prize, a child or teen will
receive a summer reading pencil. For the fourth, a child or teen will receive a colorful wristband.
For the eighth, a child or teen will receive a reading-inspired button. For the other prizes, we offer a sticker for each completed reading log.

Be aware, we only accept two reading logs per visit.

We hope your family enjoys the program we have put together this year.
